TOBB University of Economics and Technology, the first university to offer Cooperative education in Turkey, was established officially on July 1, 2003 by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). The university has begun its teaching in the Fall 2004 semester. The main campus of the university is located in Söğütözü area, west of Ankara.
